A very warm welcome to Our Lady and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, family school set in beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in Cubbington. Our location includes a delightful forest site which allows for exciting outdoor curriculum opportunities. I feel very privileged and honoured to be the leader of such a wonderful, family-orientated school.

Today, members of staff gathered with family, friends and parishioners to celebrate the life of Jo Mander 🙏
During the summer holidays we heard the very sad news that Jo had passed away. Jo had a long association with OLST: as a parent to children that attended the school, as a classroom teacher, as a member of the Local Governing Board, and as a volunteer reader. Many in our school community will know Jo and remember her for her warmth, kindness and compassion. She will be greatly missed.
To honour Jo and her lasting impact upon the school, this afternoon we held “Jo’s Big Read” at OLST. Every child to bring their favourite book into school and, throughout the afternoon children read this to friends in their own class and across the school. We then gathered in the hall, as a whole school, to reflect on Jo’s life and her contributions to our school.
May she rest in peace ✝️

There was excitement on Windmill Hill today as the Tour of Britain travelled right past the school 🚴 Year 5 and 6 had a picnic lunch at the front of school, joined by our neighbours at Butterflies Day Nursery and Kids Clubs Cubbington… we were armed with bells and flags to cheer on the cyclists and their convoy of team cars and emergency services 🚓 🚑
We were especially excited when the ITV cameras went past and think we featured well on the global coverage 🎥

It may be the first day of the summer holidays, but OLST is a hive of activity! I think Year 3 and 4 would have enjoyed the “open plan” look during the recent hot weather 🥵 🤣

This afternoon, the Mini Vinnies said THANK YOU to those who have supported our school community as volunteers, governors and through the parish. They hosted a wonderful afternoon tea and played board games together. It was a lovely way to bring all stakeholders in our community together ☺️

With the publication of our Ofsted report today, Our Lady and St Teresa’s are proud to share that we are a GOOD school! With our Catholic Schools Inspection in December, and now Ofsted, we have demonstrated the strengths that our school community posesses! I am incredibly proud of the pupils and staff who, day in and day out, make Our Lady and St Teresa’s the wonderful school that it is 🙏
