A very warm welcome to Our Lady and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, family school set in beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in Cubbington. Our location includes a delightful forest site which allows for exciting outdoor curriculum opportunities. I feel very privileged and honoured to be the leader of such a wonderful, family-orientated school.

We’re feeling festive after the Cubbington Christmas Lights Switch-On this evening! ✨🎄 The OLST choir took a starring role, serenading the crowd beautifully after Father Christmas had officially lit the village tree 🎄Their singing was absolutely wonderful and made sure that everyone was in the festive spirit.
A big thank you to our fantastic PTA for running a stall, and to Mrs Mottram for all her hard work rehearsing with the children.
We even had our own OLST mascot, “Santa Paws”! 🐶🎅

What an incredible day for our newly elected Pupil Principal, Freya!
Freya appointed Finlay as her Deputy Head before getting straight to work… greeting everyone at the gates, meeting with Mr Philpott, our Chair of Governors, as well as Mrs Ridges and Mr Pettle. Visiting classrooms, and even taking on break and lunch duty. Freya and Finlay wrote this week’s newsletter and confidently delivered our Celebration Assembly to finish off their busy day.
An amazing achievement and a wonderful example of our virtues and values lived out in all they did. Well done, Freya and Finlay! 👏🌟

This morning, we joined with schools across the diocese for the Jubilee finale event, taking time to pause, pray and reflect on the word HOPE.
On behalf of the Mini Vinnies, Mary-May has shared a beautiful poem they created together, celebrating the light, kindness and courage that hope brings to our community.

Year 3 and 4 have had a fantastic day at Cadbury World! From learning about how chocolate is made to enjoying the rides and interactive exhibits, the children were full of smiles from start to finish.
They’re now safely back and full of stories to share… and maybe a little chocolate too! 🍬😄

We are extremely proud to share some wonderful sporting news from the weekend. On Saturday 15th November, Finley in Year 3 took part in the Mid Warwickshire Under 8s Autumn Plate Cup Final, representing his team, Kenilworth Wardens. The team played brilliantly throughout the match, showing determination, teamwork, and great sportsmanship, which led to a resounding 4–1 victory.
Finley showed incredible versatility on the pitch. In the first half, he took on the important role of goalkeeper, keeping a clean sheet and helping his team go into half-time with a 0–0 draw. In the second half, Finley moved up the field to play as striker, where he truly shone, scoring an amazing 2 goals!
At the final whistle, Kenilworth Wardens celebrated a well-deserved win, and Finley was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding performance both in goal and on the pitch.
Thanks to their hard-earned victory, the team will now be moving up a tier next season, a fantastic achievement for all involved.
Finley reflected on the day by saying, “I’m proud of everyone on the team for the teamwork that they showed.”
Huge congratulations to Finley and the Kenilworth Wardens. We are all very proud of you here at school!

Our Thursday Open Mornings have been so successful, we have decided to make them a permanent feature of our school calendar. Every Thursday morning, between 9-10am, our Principal, Mr Pettle, welcomes families in to see our wonderful school. If you are looking for a Reception place for September 2026, or would like an in-year transfer to our school, come along and visit us!
