A very warm welcome to Our Lady and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, family school set in beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in Cubbington. Our location includes a delightful forest site which allows for exciting outdoor curriculum opportunities. I feel very privileged and honoured to be the leader of such a wonderful, family-orientated school.

What a fantastic evening celebrating our incredible Year 6 pupils at their Leavers’ Party! 🎉
As they come to the end of their time at OLST, there is so much to reflect on and celebrate! Their first year at school was unlike any other, with lockdown changing so much of their early school experience. Yet through resilience, determination and friendship, they have grown into a remarkable group of young people. During their time at the school, we’ve watched them learn, laugh, overcome challenges, discover their talents and become wonderful role models for our younger pupils.
As they prepare to leave Our Lady & St Teresa’s and begin the next chapter of their journey, we couldn’t be prouder of everything they have achieved and the people they have become.
Wherever life takes you next, always remember that you will forever be part of the OLST family. 💙 Good luck, Year 6, we know you’ll continue to aspire, achieve, learn and love wherever you go on life’s journey. 🌟

Today brought what should have been our annual Sports Day. Earlier in the week, having carefully monitored the weather forecast, we took the difficult decision to cancel the competitive events in the interests of everyone’s safety. While we were naturally disappointed not to hold Sports Day as planned, I am incredibly grateful for the understanding shown by our families.
Thankfully, the day was far from lost. Our Family Picnic still went ahead, and it was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents and family members joining us on the school field. Seeing our community gathered together, sharing lunch and enjoying each other’s company, reminded me once again what a special place OLST is.
Of course, we couldn’t let the children miss out on the fun altogether! Instead of races and relays, the afternoon ended with an enormous whole-school water fight. Armed with water pistols, buckets and plenty of enthusiasm, children (and the staff!) enjoyed cooling down in spectacular fashion. It was particularly lovely to see so many parents staying to join in the fun, making it a memorable end to another fantastic week.

This evening, pupils from OLST joined other young people from our parish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation 🙏 Bishop Richard spoke to the children about the importance of this step in their own personal faith journey, and the strength of their relationship with God moving forward. It was a beautiful Mass, accompanied by wonderful singing from our parish choir. Thank you to all who made it such a success, and please keep the children in your prayers as they step forward in their life of faith ✝️

Year R and Year 6 had the best time on their local area visit yesterday!! Starting with a walk down to Our Lady's Roman Catholic Church, Lillington, they received a guided tour from Father Stephen, finding out lots of fun facts about our church ⛪️ Then a visit to the library and an opportunity to explore all of the amazing books on offer 📚 After a pit stop for a picnic lunch under the shade of a big tree, it was on to the park for a run around, play and whizz on the zip wire!
What a fantastic day and so lovely to see the older pupils taking such good care of our youngest pupils 🥰

A massive THANK YOU to the OLST PTA for organising a visit from the Good Day Farm this week! The pupils loved meeting all the animals, hearing all about their lives on the Good Day Farm, and how to care for them. The children would love to welcome more animals to OLST… and after meeting Jeremy the goat, we know it wouldn’t take much to convince Mr Pettle 🐐 🤣

After closely monitoring the weather forecast over the past few days, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Friday’s Sports Day.
With temperatures now forecast to reach 32°C, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff must remain our highest priority. While we know this will be disappointing, we believe it is the right decision to ensure everyone stays safe in the extreme heat.
Our Family Picnic will still go ahead! Families are warmly invited to join us, and you’re welcome to bring parasols, gazebos or other shade coverings to help keep cool.
OLST Water Battle
To make sure the fun isn’t completely lost, we’re inviting children to bring a named water pistol to school for a whole-school water battle on the back field after the picnic. We can’t wait to enjoy a fantastic afternoon together and cool off in the sunshine!

This morning, Year R were joined by their families for a Stay and Pray, focusing on the theme of “Thankfulness”. Thinking about the things that we are thankful for, the children took part in activities and reflected on the way they can take their skills and talents out into the world.

On the 1st September 2026, the Our Lady of the Magnificat Multi-Academy , Holy Spirit MAC , and 5 local Catholic schools will merge to form the St Raphael CMAT. In preparation for this exciting change, the 29 schools that will be joining together have been taking part in an art project all about St Raphael. The brief was simple: the artwork needed to represent St Raphael, and needed to be predominantly green. Through paint, collage, Play-Doh (and even some ‘living statues’ thrown in for good measure) we have been blown away by the creativity, effort and enthusiasm that our children have put into this project!

Year R, Year 1 and Year 2 had a wonderful day at the Cotswold Wildlife Park. The children loved exploring the park, learning about animals from around the world, and seeing some amazing wildlife up close.
There were lots of smiles, plenty of excitement, and many memorable experiences throughout the day. We were incredibly proud of the children for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and excellent behaviour.

“What does peace mean to your community?” That was the brief we were given when we were asked to create a banner for the Leamington Peace Festival ☮️ Over the weekend, thousands of people saw Year 4’s efforts as they passed through the event and we were incredibly proud of the hard work the children put into creating something so meaningful!
At a time when the world can be a scary place for so many, we can learn a lot about peace and hope from our young people! 🙏

🎶 This morning, Mabel and Evie joined children from across our Trust to hear the brand-new St Raphael songs, written by Dan and Emily from OneLife Music . Alongside Chris from Mustard Seeds RE video resources , they also took part in filming, sharing their thoughts on what makes being part of our Trust so special.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to celebrate our shared values, enjoy some fantastic new music, and have their voices heard. We can’t wait for everyone to hear the new songs! 🎵✨
