A very warm welcome to Our Lady and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, family school set in beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in Cubbington. Our location includes a delightful forest site which allows for exciting outdoor curriculum opportunities. I feel very privileged and honoured to be the leader of such a wonderful, family-orientated school.

Yesterday, representatives from every class headed to Leamington Art Gallery as part of our Arts Week, and they didn’t just visit… they became curators for the day!
Working alongside the gallery’s curator, the children explored the artwork, uncovered some of the history behind it, and then had the very important job of choosing the paintings they’d like to see featured in the gallery’s rehang this September (including artwork held in their secure storage unit).
They thought carefully about their exhibition theme, the styles they were drawn to, the subject matter, and even the colour palettes that would work well together. (Big decisions were made!)
We had a fantastic time, and we’re so proud of the thoughtful choices they made. We can’t wait to share the finished exhibition with you when it opens in September… watch this space! 🎨✨

🧳🇬🇧 Evacuee Day Brings History to Life! 🇬🇧🧳
What a fantastic day of learning for our Year 4 and 5 pupils as they stepped back in time for Evacuee Day, linked to their World Wars topic.
Our Library was transformed into an Evacuation Station, classrooms hosted a range of wartime activities, and the children even collected their ‘rations’ from the School Hall, bringing history to life in a truly memorable way.
A lovely coincidence too: during the war, Butlin’s holiday parks were requisitioned by the British for military use, so it felt rather fitting that a group of our Year 4 pupils went straight from school to Butlin’s after their own day of wartime adventure!
Well done to our brilliant pupils and a big thank you to staff for creating such an immersive experience 👏

Year 1 and Year 6 had a brilliant shared trip to Kenilworth Castle, exploring the castle ruins, learning about its fascinating history and enjoying time together outside the classroom. It was lovely to see our youngest and oldest pupils supporting one another and making memories along the way. A great day of learning, teamwork and fun! 🏰😊

The current weather forecast for Thursday night into Friday morning is for potential disruptive snow. If needed, we will make a decision about the safety of the school site and the impact of staffing ratios by 7:30am, and inform parents via the My Child at School app, and the school’s social media channels.
Please do not call the school as phones are not staffed until 8:15am, and if the decision to close the school is made, the school office will remain closed.

Last night, our Key Stage Two pupils filled Our Lady’s Church with beautiful singing and festive spirit at their Carol Concert. The children performed with confidence, joy and reverence, creating a truly special and reflective evening.
